Sept. 27, 9.37 p.m.

In an effort to ensure a safe and healthy environment for students, faculty, and staff, the school will conduct a thorough assessment, cleaning, and preparation of the campus before welcoming students and staff back. Consequently, John H. Woodson Junior High School will remain closed on Thursday.

Today, the John H. Woodson Junior High School faced a challenging situation as a burst pipe disrupted school operations. Efforts to repair the pipe were successful and finalized this afternoon.

The maintenance unit was able to effectively address this matter and ensure the full restoration of the school’s water and electrical systems. Additionally, all excess water that caused flooding on the school premises has also been drained.

The public is advised that school will reopen on Friday at 8:00 a.m. Parents and students are reminded that bus pickups start at 6:45 a.m., in accordance with the recently adjusted schedule, which went into effect earlier this week.
