Election System Suspends Voter Registration Due to Coronavirus

Supervisor of Elections Caroline F. Fawkes has announced the suspension of voter registration territory-wide due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Supervisor Fawkes said, “After careful review of the registration process, which involves the Elections System staff’s direct contact with the public, I have made the decision to suspend voter registration effectively immediately.”

Although the offices will be closed for voter registration, applications for the Department of Human Services’ Elder, Dependent Adult and Disabled Person Registry will be available for pick up at the Elections System Offices in both districts.

On St. Croix and St. Thomas, applications are available on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays between 10 a.m. and noon.

On St. John, applications are available on Tuesdays and Thursdays between 10a.m. and noon.

The applications can be picked up at the following offices:

St. Croix Elections Office – Sunny Isles Annex, Unit 4 (adjacent to Kmart Appliances Store)

St. Thomas Elections Office – Lockhart Gardens (upstairs from Banco Popular)

St. John Elections Office – Market Place, Suite II

Department of Human Services’ Elder, Dependent Adult and Disabled Person application forms are also available on the Elections System website at https://www.vivote.gov
