Elton Walter Wallace Dies in Florida

Elton “Auden” Walter Wallace, also known as “Oya,” of Estate Hannah’s Rest went to be with his Lord and Savior on Aug. 2, in Fort Lauderdale, Fla.

Elton loved his God, family and friends. As a class A machinist, he lived a fulfilled life.

Elton is survived by his wife, Cynthia A. Gumbs-Wallace; sons: Zamoya Wallace and Osei Wallace; and Daddy’s girl, Bria Wallace.

He is survived by his sisters: Lynette Thompson and Lenore Liburd; brothers: Trevor Wallace and Timothy Wescott; sisters-in- law: Eunice Gumbs-Berley, Irma Fieulleteau and Pearline Prentice; brothers-in-law: Anthony Gumbs, Elvie Fieulleteau, Edmund Fieulleteau and Als Thompson; nieces: Sherrise Wallace, Shibvonne Thompson and Roxanne Bartlette; and nephews: Xavier Wallace, Ajani Thompson, Ken Bartlette, Kenrick Bartlette, Jason Bartlette and Patrice Wallace.

He is also survived by special family members: Sherisse Richards, Janelle Sherriff, Erett “Idy” Wallace (Paddy), Jamari White, Alvin Fieulleteau, Taleba, Bro. Viewing will take place 9 a.m. followed by the service at 10 a.m., Thursday, Aug. 31, at the Central Seventh-day Adventist Church in Estate Plessen (Grove Place). Interment will follow at the Frederiksted Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to James Memorial Funeral Home and Florist.
