Esther Rose Benjamin Holloman Dies

Esther Rose Benjamin Holloman

Esther Rose Benjamin Holloman died on Feb. 14. Esther, affectionately known as “Rose,” was born on Sept. 4, 1948, on St. Kitts, to the late Eltruda Ryan; stepfather, John Ryan; and Eddie Williams.

Esther was a great warrior and intercessor, who loved the Lord.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Eric A. Benjamin; second husband, Roy Holloman; sister, Almaria “Polly” Hendrickson; and nephew, Bernard Canning.

She is survived by her sons: Antonio Benjamin and Carlos Hendrickson; daughters: Erika Benjamin-Callwood and Diane Benjamin; siblings: Viola Merchant Williams and Winston Ryan; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Oliver Williams, Marion Peters, Gladys Todman, Juanito Benjamin, Roy Blake and Marilyn Ryan; son-in-law, Jason Callwood; and granddaughters: Tashara Benjamin, Ahzariah Benjamin, Carlesha Hendrickson, Jordann Callwood, Aviva Benjamin, Aurora Benjamin, Andrea Williams and Diyana Simmonds.

She is also survived by grandsons: Asarheem Benjamin, Elijah Callwood, Josiah Callwood and Diandre Simmonds; great-grandchildren: Le’Moi Monsanto, Te’Mori Leonard, Ty’ Lahe Leonard, Miyah Henry and Analie Guerrero; and nieces and nephews: Keith Benjamin, Tamzen Merchant, Khalid Merchant, Ryan John, Samanth Ryan-Vanterpool, Alexis Ryan, Stephan Ryan, Alecia Ryan, Ryan Maynard, Mannix Maynard, Diane Canning, Evette Nisbett, Elvia Foster David, Venetta Maynard Chittick, Sylvester “Sparrow” Herbert and Minnie Etney Alexandria Henrickson-James.

Other survivors include special family and friends: Pastor Audain and Adelle Brown, Ann Wheatley, Dayna Clendinen, Bevis and Skeeter Dowell, Junior and Nanyamka Miller, Feyi Victor, Franklyn Victor, Lorenzo “Mr. Kool” Daniel, Euston David, Catherine Matthew, Stella Antoine, Pastor Yvette R. Leachman, Greg “Island IV” Bowen, Aluvis and Lorraine Schneider, Edwin and Porsha Warner, the family at VI Christian Ministries, and many other family and friends too numerous to mention.

May she rest in eternal peace.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to celebrate her life at a funeral service at 9 a.m., on Saturday, March 23, at VI Christian Ministries Church in Bolongo Bay. Interment will be at Eastern Cemetery in Smith Bay.
