Supervisor of Elections Caroline F. Fawkes is pleased with the steady number of voters who have cast their ballots during the Virgin Islands-Puerto Rican Friendship weekend. The number of electors who have participated in early voting as of Monday, Oct. 12, is as follows:

St. Thomas: 829, St. Croix: 845 and St. John: 59, which is a total of 1,733 voters territory-wide.

The 2020 General Election Early Voting continues until Sunday, Oct. 25. Voting hours are from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily. Early voting locations are as follows:

 St. Croix Elections Office at Sunny Isle Shopping Center, Unit 26, 1st floor (former Movie Theatre location between Master Insurance Agency and Nav Jeweler)

 St. Thomas at Charlotte Amalie High School Gymnasium

 St. John Elections Office at Market Place Suite II

In closing, Supervisor Fawkes is reminding voters who do not wish to vote during early voting or on Election Day, they can have a representative obtain an absentee ballot from the Elections System Office. Friday, Oct. 2, was the last day to request a Mail Out Absentee Ballot. Act 8294 provides that any qualified elector can vote by Absentee Ballot in the 2020 Elections to ensure that electors are not disenfranchised by COVID-19.
