On their way back from Lameshur Bay on Thursday, March 12, Bruce and Sharon Schoonover spotted these two flamingos in the salt pond by Grootpan Bay on the island’s south shore. This just might be the first flamingos photographed on St. John. There are white-cheeked pintail ducks in the background as well, according to the Schoonovers.
