Gifft Hill School will host its 37th annual auction and gala at the school’s Trayser Field at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, March 4. The night’s theme is ‘Night of A Million Dreams,’ and the event will include food and drinks from local vendors, silent and live auctions, the popular Wall of Wine, and a Golden Ticket drawing. Arriving guests will be welcomed by the Love City Pan Dragons and festivities will be topped off with a performance by St. John’s own Cool Session Brass band.

High school culinary students work in the kitchen during one of the school’s farm-to-table dinner events.

“At Gifft Hill School, we believe that all children deserve an education that encourages them to dream and provides them with the tools to realize those dreams,” said Head of School Liz Kinsella. “However, we also recognize that this work cannot be done alone. Each year, we commit to raising $1.4 million to support financial aid for our students.

“The auction is our biggest fundraiser of the year and an important way for members of the community to recognize the vital role our school plays on St. John, and affirm their commitment to keeping a GHS education accessible.”

Tickets to the auction are sold out, but supporters can still bid on prizes and packages, including vacations, villa stays, boat trips, jewelry, home decorations and gift certificates to local shops and restaurants. To browse, bid and donate, visit www.handbid.app.link/millions.

As a member of the National Association of Independent Schools, Gifft Hill School serves St. John as the island’s only toddler through 12th grade institution. GHS provides high-quality educational programming to more than 200 students, many of whom are supported in their learning by scholarships, grants and financial aid.

The board of trustees is made up of business owners, parents, academics and grandparents, all of whom actively support the island of St. John in many different ways. The time they volunteer and their personal generosity as donors are testaments to their commitment to GHS, to education on St. John, and to their passion for this community.
