Gina Marie Bell, also known as “Empress Izarah” or “GiGi” of Estate Tipperary died on Feb. 14. She was 61 years old.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Fidelis Canton Sr. and Inez Roebuck Canton.
She is survived by her mother, Roselyn Canton-Lang; father, John A. Bell Sr.; daughter, Kasheema Miller; sons: Jahnoah Bell and Jessie Martinez; grandchildren: Jahnoah Bell Jr., Alaunis Bell, Noah Miller and Roselyn Ross; daughter-in-law: Christine James-Bell; sister, Jurene Bell (Tricia); brothers: John A. Bell Jr., Jason Bell, Wayne “Cirgie” Bell, John M. Bell and Clinton Lang Jr.; and niece, Akilah Galloway.
She is also survived by nephews: Brandon Bell, Jaheem Lawrence and Kahlil Galloway; great-nieces: Jordyn Lawrence and Janiese Lawrence; aunts: Inez Canton-Sewer, Winifred Canton, Iris Canton, Jean Canton and Ruth Canton; uncle, Fremont Canton; and special friends: Wayne Miller (Karem), Nandito, Michael Ross (Balcoba), Hope Williams, Pauline Holst, Jasmine John, Makeda Kamara, Wala, Ras Feather, Sista Love, UCA MZO Kitchen/ Afrika House, Sherry Lake, the Department of Education family, and all her customers from the Corner.
Other survivors include cousins and other relatives: Norma Roebuck, Patrice Canton, Irene Sewer, Celeste Peachee Clendinen, Mary Roebuck, Lauritz Canton, the Canton families, the Roebuck families, Acoy family, Adams family, Monsanto family, Torres family, San Kitts; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
A viewing will be held at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 11, at James Memorial Funeral Chapel. A private sea burial will follow.
