Project Promise will host its signature Havana Nights fundraiser on Feb. 8 at the University of the Virgin Islands Research and Technology Park, bringing the community together for its ninth year to support life-changing programs for at-risk youth.

This year’s theme, “A Night at Oriental Park Racetrack,” invites guests to enjoy an evening inspired by the vibrant atmosphere of Cuba’s historic racetrack.

Attendees will be treated to live Cuban music, authentic Cuban cuisine, a cigar-rolling demonstration, and a silent auction, with highlights including a raffle for a trip for two to Cuba. The event, known for its lively ambiance and community spirit, encourages guests to embrace the theme by donning racetrack-inspired attire, from elegant hats to dancing shoes. Tickets for general admission and reserved seating are now available on Project Promise’s website, where individuals can also find the link to the online silent auction.

Proceeds from Havana Nights directly benefit Project Promise’s Caterpillar Project, a transformative initiative supporting at-risk youth on St. Croix, as well as the organization’s five other programs.

The fundraiser is supported by generous sponsors, including Platinum Sponsors, the Department of Health-Family Planning Program, TEAM Consultants, and Diageo. Gold Sponsors include Marshall & Sterling, VIYA, MCN Build, and OCWEN.

Raffle tickets for the Cuba trip are $20 and available online. Community members are encouraged to secure their event tickets early for this unforgettable evening that celebrates culture, music, and the spirit of giving.
