Help Crime Stoppers Solve Past Homicides

Crime Stoppers VI is offering up to $10,000 cash rewards for information on individuals involved in recent or past homicides in the territory.

On November 18, 2013, a 42-year-old man, identified by Government House as V.I. National Guard Staff Sergeant David Francois was fatally shot on a Frederiksted beach. Police were notified of the incident at about 2:30 p.m. when a woman called in the incident. According to the police report, the woman said she and her husband were swimming near the Target Wall beach, not far from the Vincent Mason Coral Beach Pool, when her husband decided to get out of the water. The wife said she remained in the water for a while. When she went to find her husband, she found him unresponsive and suffering from a gunshot wound. When she contacted the police, she told them that she did not hear any gunshots and did not see people or vehicles in the area.

On January 4, 2017, at about 10:27 a.m. St. Thomas Police responded to reports of a gunshot victim in the area of Estate Thomas. The male victim was transported to the Roy Lester Schneider Medical Hospital via ambulance and was later identified as 23-year-old Lenny Hedrington Jr., who was shot once in the head and succumbed to his injuries.
