Help Crime Stoppers Solve These Homicides

On Friday, October 9, 2020, at around 10:18 p.m., the 911 Emergency Call Center received multiple reports from concerned citizens of shots fired near the corner of King and Market Streets in downtown Frederiksted. Officers traveled to the location, where they found an adult female, who was later identified by next of kin as 21-year-old Kadiyen Illidge of Sion Hill, with a headshot wound and was transported to the Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital, succumbing to her injuries.

On July 28, 2017, Lyana Serieux and her two young sons, 10-year-old Jordan and 5-year-old Jeremiah, were last seen as she drove to their residence in Estate Cane. Several days later, a burnt Toyota Yaris belonging to Lyana was found in Estate Lower Love. The next day, the bodies of Jeremiah and Jordan were found near the Ha’Penny Beach. On August 3, the body of Lyana was found in a cistern in an abandoned property behind the Mutual Homes Housing Community.

On St. Thomas Sunday, January 1, 2017, at about 12:12 a.m. Police responded to reports of shots fired in the area of Bovoni and a possible gunshot victim. Upon arrival, it was discovered that a male sustained a gunshot wound to the head and was transported to the Roy Lester Schneider Hospital and Medical Center by a concerned citizen. The male was identified as Tahien Thomas, who died of his injuries at about 8:55 a.m. the same morning.

These incidents are being investigated by the VIPD Major Crime Unit.
