The Division of Libraries, Archives, and Museums will host the “I am David Hamilton Jackson” art exhibition at St. Croix’s Fort Frederik Museum on Saturday from 4 to 5:30 p.m., Commissioner Jean-Pierre L. Oriol of the Department of Planning and Natural Resources announced Tuesday.

The exhibit is a continuation of last year’s project launched by DPNR’s Division of Libraries, Archives, and Museums in partnership with the Education Department’s Division of Cultural Education. The David Hamilton Jackson art exhibit will feature social justice collages by students from various schools/art programs.

The student art show is open to the public and free of charge. “The Division of Libraries, Archives, and Museums looks forward to showcasing the brilliant talent of our young people in Fort Frederik for this fun-filled family event in Frederiksted,” said Director Amy DeSorbo.

After the art exhibit, the community is also encouraged to participate in the Holidays in the Nighttime Skies’ toy collection drive, taking place at the fort on Saturday evening from 5 to 8 p.m.
