Jamal Nathan Green Dies at 31

Jamal Nathan Green

Jamal Nathan Green, also known as “Green,” of Estate Campo Rico, Frederiksted, St. Croix, died on Wednesday, Sept. 27. He was 31 years old.

Jamal was preceded in death by his father, Edward Eddie Green; grandmothers: Rita Greene-Joshua and Jeanie Mae Green; grandfathers: Nehemiah Joshua and Nalda Rayne; and aunt, Telloria “Cutie” Simon.

He is survived by his mother, Genevieve S. Greene-Liburd; stepfather, Alex Liburd; daughter, Jasmine Green; sisters: Aretha Reviere and Maya Liburd; brothers: Kyle Liburd and Nhyne Daniel; niece, Anastasia Graham; nephew, James Graham IV; aunts: Yvette Browne, Jacquelyn Joshua, Violet, Jacquelin, Victoria, Goldameir and Ethlyn Simon; and uncles: Del Green, Dale Browne, Vincent and Ernest Joshua, Cecil Daniel, Adolphus, Ira (Samuel), Riffin, Joseph (Brother), Oliver, St. Clair, McChesney, Wilson and LLeweyn Simon.

He is also survived by cousins: Jael Paul, Chantal, Makeda and Maasejah Browne, Stacey Green, Nehemiah, Zyiah and Coleappie Joshua, Kayvauhn, Micah and Taliah Paul, Aniah Murray, J’Dain Francis, Ma’Layah Browne, and Kadheem Hennemann Jr.; special families: Rosalyn James and family, George Green and family, Jack Green and family, Egbert Green, and extended families in New York, Georgia, Virginia and Antigua.

Other survivors include special friends: Michael Gomes, Selena and Nigel Moss, Jayllyn Barnes, Eldena and Glenmore Martin, Bernadette and Steve Webster, Delores Powell, Medrika Maxwell and family, Sonia and Roland Bellot, Miss Murial Liburd, Georgette Alexander, Harris Fahie Jr., Radiant and Ernest Morris, Lesa Wardlow and family, and the Virgin Islands Army National Guard Recruiting and Retention BN; as well as many other families and friends too numerous to mention.

A cremation service for Jamal will be held privately.  His entombment and Celebration of Life will take place on Dec. 1, with times and location to follow.  Thank you all for your prayers, kind words and deeds during this trying period.
