Jean Metor of St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands died on Oct. 8. She was 76 years old.
He was preceded in death by his father, Frederick Metor; mother, Yvonne Metor; son, Marcel Metor; sisters: Lucien Metor and Carmen Liverpool; and nephew, Steave Liverpool.
He is survived by his wife, Magdalene “Maggie” Metor; children: Josette Metor Spencer in New York and Hartley Metor in Atlanta; grandchildren: Xenia James in Atlanta and Caden Evans in Savannah, Ga.; granddaughter-in-law, Anayah Spencer in New York; great-grandchild, Cadence Douglass in Atlanta; and sisters: Helena Watt on St. John, USVI, Margaretta Metor Joseph on St. Croix, USVI, Magdalene Rocque in the Commonwealth of Dominica and Catherine Mathurin in the United Kingdom.
He is also survived by brothers-in-law: Nicholson “Mr. Ford” Joseph, Roland Liverpool and Williamson “Trock” Rocque; nieces: Jessica, Ermine, Leanne, Vernelda, Shelia, Jasmine, Navina, Princess and many more too numerous to mention; nephews: Fabian, Danley, Festus, Demie, Dez, Richardson, Rudolph, Richard and many more too numerous to mention; and son-in-law, Feanny Spencer in New York.
Other survivors include close friends: Canute Hector, Dominique Alexander and family, Simon Athanase and family, the Dagou family, Maximin Simon, Andrew Ferrol and family, Charles Jules and family, Peter Germain and family, Dan Sullivan and family, Eustace Browne and family, Evelyn Louis and family, Franklin Francis and family in the Commonwealth of Dominica, Franklyn Foy, Parker Johnlewis, John Donaie, Merle Burke; as well as many more family and friends too numerous to mention.
The first viewing will be held from 3-5 p.m., Friday, Nov. 3, 2023, at Dan Hurley Home for Funerals and Cremation Centers, 3192 Altona and Welgunst, St. Thomas.
The second viewing will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 4, at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah Witnesses on St. John. The funeral service will follow at 11 a.m.
