John Gulbert Victor was born on July 12, 1942, in Boboneau, St. Lucia, to the late Luciana Jean Paul and Annius Etienne-Victor. He died on Sept. 13, 2024. There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Monday, Sept. 30, at Calvary Baptist Church, Altona St. Thomas VI.
He is survived by his wife, Agnes Victor; six children: Leona, Dennis, Celia, Auguste, Janice and Kishma; brother, Oliver Etienne; grandsons: Jason, Kurtly, Jahmir, Najer, Quadir and Jayden; granddaughters: Shucreah, Janiya, Solace, Chantel, Shalyn and Kazia; special nieces: Florence Fanice and Julina Emmanuel; special nephew, Wellington “Jaro” Florent; and special friends: Larry Latang-Shana Liburd and Edith Richardson.
He is also survived by his other nieces and nephews: Lucy Louis, Steven Louis, Winifred Etienne, Annmarie Florent, St. George Florent, Felix Weeks, Solomon Weeks, Audrey Weeks, Victoria Florent, Mathinea Florent of Barbados, Ruth Etienne, Kathy Pancrace of England, the Delaire family and the Poyette family.
Funeral arrangements are by Turnbull’s Funeral Home and Crematory Services.
