Juan Luis Carrion, also known as “Ras Johnny,” of Estate Smithfield died on Feb. 5. He was 58 years old.
He is survived by his wife, Luz Minelva Navarro Carrion; mother, Emelina Bermudez; father, Justo Carrion; daughter, Fransheska Carrion; adopted daughters: Tania Carrion and Teena Carrion; sons: Waldemal Carrion, Luis Ivan Carrion and Francisco Navarro; and grandchildren: Francisco, Kaydin, Amaira, Keshaira, Don, Quarius Jr., Juan Luis, Xyla, Jayla and Khaleesi Alani.
He is also survived by his sister, Ivette Carrion; brothers: Antonio Carrion and Roberto Carrion; nieces: Taina, Nagi, Lina, Tara, Tania and Teena; nephews: Rasco, Rene, Joey, Steven, Samuel Carrion and Gabriel; daughters-in-law: Tramorria Carrion, Britney and Kiki Lloyd; son-in-law, Don Quarius Denard Gibson; and brothers-in-law: Felix Navarro Jr. I, Felix Navarro Jr. II and Berto Navarro.
Other survivors include sisters-in-law: Maria Navarro and Griselda Rodriguez; godchild, Dreadisha Peguero; special friends: Tom, Andrea, Paul, Raul, Maka, Chapo, Chan, Michael, Ray, Beatrize Belardo and Leona; cousins and other relatives: Maria Cabret, Gracy, Greg, Linda, Bush and Maqui; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
The viewing will take place at 10 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 28, at Alpha y Omega, Strawberry Hill. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
