Liberty VI is expanding its fiber network this summer with new installation projects taking place throughout St. Thomas and St. Croix.
New jobs will begin at Estate Frydenhoj in St. Thomas on June 26 and at Estate Anna’s Hope in St. Croix on June 29. Liberty VI’s work calendar continues in July with projects kicking off at Estate Sion Hill and at Peters Rest in St. Croix on July 1 and July 15 respectively, and Estate Nadir in St. Thomas on July 1. An ongoing job in Estate Mon-Bijou North and South in St. Croix is expected to conclude on July 15.

The work at Estate Nadir, Estate Mon-Bijou North & South, Estate, Sion Hill and Peters Rest includes the placement and installation of aerial fiber optic cables on utility poles. The jobs at Estate Frydenhoj and Estate Anna’s Hope entail placing aerial fiber optic cables and terminals on utility poles.
Traffic controls and safety equipment were placed prior to the start of construction. Once completed, 1,933 serviceable homes overall will have access to Liberty’s Fiber to the Home (FTTH) broadband service. Construction will take place between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. Work times may change depending on the work to be performed.
The job are being performed with minimal traffic impact. However, residents and drivers within the area should expect delays due to lane and partial road closures and must exercise caution when traveling on the narrow roadways.
