Lillia C. Frorup Dies in Illinois

Lillia C. Frorup

Lillia C. Frorup died on Monday, Sept. 16, in Olympia Fields, Ill. Lillia was a longtime resident of Brooklyn, N.Y., before relocating to Park Forest, Ill.

She is preceded in death by her son-in-law, Fred Culp; sisters: Eva Forbes, Marjorie Lee and Ines Thomas; brother, Gustave Frorup; brothers-in-law: Keith Forbes and Almeric Christian; and sister-in-law, Veronica Frorup.

Lillia is survived by her daughter, Karen Saunders Culp; her granddaughter, Candace Culp; sisters: Corliss Frorup, Shirley Christian and Eleanor Frorup; brothers: Christian Frorup and Norman Frorup (Gwendolyn); nieces: Ana Richardson (Moses), Janet Turner (Carl), Corinne Plaskett, Heather Lee (Todd), Alyce Frorup, Allison Frorup and Rebecca Christian (Brian); and nephews: Adam Christian (Vickie), Norman Frorup Jr. (Kendra), Christian Frorup Jr. (Christiana) and Craig Frorup.

She also leaves to cherish her memory a host of great nieces, great nephews, cousins and close friends, including Clifford Williams, Joyce Gulston, Rita Branch, Esther Burgess, Christine Gilmore, Marcie Steele, Vivian Rohlsen, Svend and Pamela Tranberg and the Culp/Woods family; goddaughter, Zaniryea Davis; friends at the Victory Center in Park Forest, Ill., and friends, staff and caregivers at Sunrise Senior Living in Olympia Fields, Ill.; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.

A viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by funeral services at 10 a.m., Monday, Oct. 7, at Friedenstahl Moravian Church in Christiansted. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
