On Tuesday, July 10, the St. John Economic Long Term Recovery Group and partners are hosting a full day of free business workshops. There will be a total of 4 workshops from 9 am to 4:30 p.m at #1 Bay Street, Cruz Bay, above DRINK! and Low Key Watersports.
Workshop 1: Refresh Your Marketing Plans
9 am to 10:15 am
How to use market research, social media, e-commerce and other strategies to regain, retain and grow your customer base.
Workshop 2: Understanding and Accessing Post-Disaster Capital and Credit
10:30 am to 12:00 pm
Learn about available loans and loan guarantees, how to receive technical assistance preparing loan applications.
Workshop 3: Bid Preparation and Government Contracting
1:30 pm to 3:00 pm
How to find Requests for Proposals and prepare bids; safety and other requirements for government contractors.
Workshop 4: Creating a Continuity Strategy
3:15 pm to 4:30 pm
How to plan ahead and reduce the impact of future disasters, losses or ownership changes; how to protect your building against future loss.
This workshops on July 10th will be followed by two days of free one-on-one consultations for small businesses with the Minority Business Development Agency.
