Lydia Esther O’Neill was born on July 14, 1945, and died peacefully on Aug. 22. Lydia was born to the late Virginia Reyes and Rufino O’Neill.
Lydia leaves to mourn: her husband, Victor Huertas; mother-in-law, Luz Simmons; father-in-law, Victor A. Huertas; daughters: Carmen O’Neill, Sheila Spooner, Jacqueline Spooner and BrendaLee Cruz; and grandchildren: Elgania Benitez (4), Yessenia Benitez (3), Virginia Santiago (4), Leonardo Alicia, Angel Marin, Yarelis Guzman (2), Aixa Molina (4), Vilma Fuentes(2), Zuleika Velazquez (1), Shanely Velazquez and Abigail Velazquez.
She is also survived by great-grandchild, E’Li Rivera; great-great-grandchildren: Jenielys Hernandez, plus two; son-in-law: Hector Rivera, Carlos Camacho and Natanael Santos; siblings: Áureo O’Neill, Cecilia O’Neill and Rufino O’Neill; best friends: Lydia Santiago, Jessica Cornelius, Sandy Night and Bebita Meryl; as well as many families and friends too numerous to mention.
A friends and family viewing will be held from 3-5 p.m., Tuesday, Sept. 12, at Divine Funeral Services and Crematory, 129 Peter’s Rest.
A second viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by funeral services at 10 a.m., Wednesday, Sept. 13, at St. Joseph Catholic Church. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
