Madalin Adel Harrigan died surrounded by family on Saturday, Sept. 9.

Madalin was preceded in death by her mother, Eleda Carty; father, Austin Carty; daughter, Joeisha Harrigan; sisters, Rosalia Hughes and Sylvia Gardener; and nephews: David and Dexter Mussington.

Left to carry on her legacy of love are her husband Joseph Harrigan; son, Dwayne Harrigan; daughter, Minister Jacklyn Harrigan; daughter-in-law, Minister Terri Finley-Harrigan; granddaughters: Jaala, Mischa and Rebecca Harrigan, LaShauna Finley; adopted great-grandson, Carter Finley; sisters: Ilene Mussington, Margaret Gumbs and Ruby Gumbs; and brothers: Ivan Connor and Gaston Carty.

She is also survived by sisters-in-law: Dorcas Sterling, Marlene Carty and Dawn Connor; brothers-in-law: Calvin Gumbs Sr., Minister James Harrigan, Minister John Harrigan and Pastor Jerome Harrigan; and nieces: Oronica Hughes, Oralyn Reid, Michelle Connor, Monique Connor, Sherilyn Cadette, Sherna Gumbs, Bernicia Gumbs-Aughtry, Beverly Gumbs, Dr. Brenda Gumbs-Petty, Tiqua Carty, Wendy Hughes, Pastor Wanda Brooks, Wilda Hughes and Lenecia Gardener.

Other survivors include nephews: Daniel, Dennis, Darvin, Desmond and Delbert Mussington, Michael Connor, Sherman, Lawrence and Lyndon Gumbs, Calvin Gumbs Jr., Caliex Gumbs, Carl Gumbs, Terrance Carty, Tramille Carty, Prentice, Preston, Perry and Patmore Hughes, Lennox Carty, Lenroy, Linden and Larry Gardener; godchildren: Oralyn Reid, Richelle Mills, Javan; Sterling Jeranique Harrigan, Mark Sterling; and special friend, Olive Mills.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to the single viewing from 5-7 p.m., Friday, Oct. 13, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home. Her Celebration of Life service will be held on Saturday, Oct. 14, at the Oasis Church of God of Prophecy Tabernacle, No. C-5 Estate Hoffman, beginning with a time of tributes and reflection at 9 a.m., with service following at 10 a.m. Interment will be in Eastern Cemetery, Smith Bay.
