On Friday VIPD said, the 911 Emergency Call Center received reports of shots being fired in the Candido Guadalupe Housing Complex.Â
Officers disclosed that during the investigation, Juanito Ortiz Jr., 39, fired shots at two minors and an adult in the residential area. An arrest and search warrant were obtained for Ortiz, and his residence, said police.Â
According to press release, Otiz was advised of his miranda rights and gave a statement admitting to firing shots in the air on the same date. He was placed under arrest for attempted murder in the first degree, and reckless endangerment in the first degree. He was unable to post set at $300,000 and was transported to the corrections pending his advise of rights hearing.Â
