A man died on St. Thomas Friday night when his car flipped after colliding with another vehicle, the V.I. Police Department reported.
VIPD received a report from the 911 Emergency Call Center late Friday night that two vehicles collided on Veterans Drive near Moe’s Fresh Market.
VIPD responded to the accident, and a preliminary investigation revealed a black sedan was traveling eastward in the left lane, and a white SUV was traveling in the same area in the right lane when both vehicles collided. The black sedan flipped on its top, the report stated.
Keonae A. Turnbull, 26, the driver of the black sedan, succumbed to his injuries sustained in the crash, and the passenger was transported to Schneider Regional Center for treatment and remains in stable condition, police said.
The investigation is ongoing by the Traffic Investigation Bureau.
