Man Faces Domestic Violence Charges for Assaulting Woman

Junior Jones was taken into custody Saturday facing domestic violence charges, the V.I. Police Department reported.

The victim spoke with officers at the Schneider Regional Medical Center March 1 at about 11:06 p.m. stating that she agreed to give her ex-boyfriend, Jones, a ride home, according to the report.  She went on to say that when she arrived at his residence, he began pulling her hair and striking her in the head. The victim stated that she made multiple attempts to get away from Jones but he threatened to stab her with a knife and shoot her. The victim sustained a laceration to her hand after she attempted to grab the knife that Jones tried to assault her with, it stated.

Jones, 41 years old, waived the opportunity to provide a statement and was advised of his constitutional rights, booked, and processed, pending his advice of rights hearing, the report said.
