Marjorie Sutton

Marjorie Sutton, also known as “Madge,” of King Cross Street, Christiansted, St. Croix, died on March 10.

She is survived by her sisters: Una Sargeant, Leontine Clarke, Valerie and Petronella Sutton; brothers: Joseph Clarke, Everette, Halsted and Sylvester Sutton; nieces: Esther James, Phiona Isaac, Audith Poleon, Verina Isaac, Denise and Felicia Sutton, Phyllis Titre, Althea Richards, Carolyn Clarke, Cleone and Tresha Brandy; nephews: Wendell Caseman, Rev.  Dennis Baptiste, Roy Dore, Earle Pemberton, Martin Sargeant, Curtley, Trevor and Winston Sutton, Kyle Hanley, Mervin, Rodney, Dave and Dwayne Brandy and Phillip Thomas; and great nieces: Pamella Elliott-Lawrence, Lorraine Elliott-Brown, Collis Elliott-Griffin, Michala Briscoe, Romeshia SinClair, Amaziah Appleton, Shenequa, Zina and Shenell Dore, Jenell Dore-Willis, Diandre Titre, Latasha, Shanelle and Cassandra Stapleton, Celeste Thomas and Earlene Pemberton.

She is also survived by great nephews: Patrick and Rohan Elliotte, Phillip Thomas, Alexis, Oliver Titre, Jr. and Josiah Titre, and Kieran Sargeant; uncle, Robert Huggins; niece-in-law, Janice Dore; brother-in-law, Percival Brandy; sisters-in-law: Rita Clarke and Joyce Meyers-Sutton; godchildren: Nelsia Maynard, Kashima Douglas and Lindell Phillip; and cousins and other relatives: Vincent, Carl and Linneth Jeffers, Edrice Rodney, Irving, Ralph and Clayton Sutton, Lincoln Huggins, Ermin (Cutey) Nicholas, Patrick John, Sherrill Sutton and a host of other relatives too numerous to mention.

Other survivors include special friends: Agatha James and family, George Stokes and family, Jule and Douglas Canton Jr., Icilma Grant and family, Sister Ashwood, Claudette Douglas, Amy Land-De-Wilde, Leah Haley, Lorine Williams, Leroy Woods, Jaclyn Scatliff, Canute Brodhurst, Brother Leroy Hamilton, Brother Solomon Phillip, Dion Caines and family, Charlene and Glyneis and family, Marjorie  Fredericksen,  Pastor Lorenze Sr. and Mrs. Davis, the  Sisters and Brothers of the Trinity, Frederiksted and Midland Wesleyan Holiness Churches and a host of other friends too numerous to mention.

There will be a viewing held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 11, at Trinity Wesleyan Holiness Church, Christiansted. Interment will be at Kingshill Cemetery.
