Mary McIntosh was born on October 12, 1959, in Chicago, Illinois, and died on Feb. 28 in Elmhurst, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sylvester Ivan McIntosh, Sr.; father, Kevin Patrick Corry; mother, Domenica Mary Corry; stepsons, Stanislaus McIntosh and Sylvester McIntosh, Jr.; stepdaughter, Annette McIntosh.
She is survived by her siblings, Patrick (Kelly) Corry, Thomas Corry, Ann (Christopher) Peters, John (Pamela Leister) Corry, and Charles (Lacessa) Corry; children and step-children, Christine (Eric Sonnier) McIntosh, Laurene McIntosh, Sandra McIntosh, Hollis McIntosh, Karen (David) McIntosh-Bruce, Paulette Joseph, and Patricia (Martin) Pedraza; grandchildren and step-grandchildren, Solé Rogers, Ahsan, Ari, and Isaura Fairfax, Jayne, Kai-Violet, and Macintosh Sonnier, Annetta Herve, Sean Smith, Schanel Sylvest, Akisha Thomas, Akeena Pereira, Carl Pereira III, Rashid Iles, Khalid Bruce, Jonathan, Daniel, and Sarah Pedraza; nieces and nephews too numerous to mention; other family; Phylis Espinosa-Joseph and extended McIntosh family; special friends, Sue Diverio, Libby Jordan, MaryJane Soule, Carol Christian-Williams, Marcia Christian, Deb Witcraft, Rita Labadie, Laurie Schill and Bob Fleming, Pat Saunders, Lizette Santos, the St. Joseph High School students and faculty, the Eulalie R. A funeral mass will be held at St. Patrick Catholic Church in Frederiksted on March 27 at 10 a.m. Tributes begin promptly at 9 a.m. As per Mary’s request, there will be no viewing. Those in attendance are asked to wear bright or festive colors. Interment will take place at the Frederiksted Cemetery.
