Maureen Lorraine Blyden

Maureen Lorraine Blyden, also known as “Lois” died on Wednesday, Jan. 24.

Lois is preceded in death by her mother, Everette Fleming Testamark; father, Peter Bernier Blyden; brother, Keith Fleming; sisters-in-law: Millicent Simmonds and Denise Fleming; and stepfather, Amos L. Testamark.

She is survived by her sons: Glen “Jaba” Chinnery (Timisha) and Karym C. Connor (Andrea); brothers: Earl A. Simmonds and Rudolph ”Yellow” Maduro; sisters: Charlene L. Testamark Brady (A. Alonzo) and Jacqueline P. Testamark; grandchildren: Jalen Chinnery, Kaylani Connor, Kahmarri Connor, K’Myah Connor and Karym “KJ” Connor Jr.; nephews: Earl Simmonds Jr. (Jackie), Julio A. Simmonds (Jackie), Melvin Fleming (Giovanna), Delvin Fleming (Tasida), Brandon J. Brady, Brian A. Brady, DeVaughn J. Dowe, Rudolph R. Maduro, Rudolph L. Maduro and Rudolph Rudiso Maduro; and nieces: Sharon S. Mitchell (Nigel), Zenique F. James (Earl), Laurel Maduro Scatliffe, Lorraine Maduro-Browne, Tamika Maduro-Brown and Rudisha Maduro.

She is also survived by great-nephews: Justice Simmonds, Todd Brodus, Jaquan Fleming and Zachary James; great-nieces: Sage Mitchell, Era Simmonds, Sheenique, Xania and Xaia Fleming; godchildren: Latoy Callwood and Jenisha Stapleton; relatives and special friends: Aloma “Suzy” Stoutt Rodriquez, Kenneth Stoutt, Rowan Stoutt, Helen Phillips, Eunice, Berenice and Avalinda Freeman, Thomas  Turnbull Jr., Vadis, Abu and E. “Pam” Springette, Merle Todman, Anona Chalwell and family, Loryiel “Lala” Charleswell, Julie S. Scatliffe, Eva S. Johnson, Jean, Sylvie, Gloria, James (Sargeant and Foy families), Ritza Briscoe, Robin Thomas (Riley), Arturo “Ezo” and Ronda Seanez, Janet Sadler, Marissa “Sherry” Bernier and Kent Bernier.

Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend the first viewing from 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 21, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home and Crematory Services.

The second viewing will be held at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Friday, Feb. 23, at Wesley Methodist Church, Anna’s Retreat. Tributes will commence at 9 a.m.
