Maximo Javier Gomez, also known as “Maxi-Ragga,” of Mt. Pleasant, Frederiksted, died on Saturday, Jan. 27. He was 44 years old.
Maximo was preceded in death by his parents: Manuela Rosario and Eduardo Gomez; and brother, Daniel Gomez.
He is survived by his companion, Cheryl Williams; sisters: Sara Gomez, Sandra Cepeda, Luz Gomez, Maria Gomez and Wanda Gomez; brothers: Angel Gomez, Eduardo Gomez Jr., Louis Gomez and Manuel Gomez; 18 nieces; and 15 nephews.
He is also survived by special friends: Popo the Fisherman, Larry Sharp, Damian Francis, Clintford “Robo Cop” Joseph Jr., Charles Samuel, Luis “Gallo” Cepeda, and the Brady, Lindquist, Garcia, Luke, Frederick, Ovesen, Mustafa, Morgan, Becerril, Schuster, Graham, Byam, Bell, Weston, Christian, Brooks, Pelle, Williams and Mackes families, the LaValle family (North Shore), Elwood Thomas, Ray Tutein, Eric Ramos and Wilfredo Valentine; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
Visitation for Maximo will be held from 10-11 a.m., Monday, Feb. 5, at Schuster’s Crematorium LLC, located at 139 Castle Coakley.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Schuster’s Crematorium LLC.
