Mongoose Junction Kicks Off the Holiday Season With “Evening In The Courtyard”

Mongoose Junction will kick off the holiday season at 4 p.m., Friday, with its annual “Evening in the Courtyard” filled with live music, delicious food, libations, and fabulous shopping, the Mongoose Junction Merchants Association announced recently.

Musical guests will include Quelbe Resurrection from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. and Bo & Charlie Duo from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., according to the press release.

Participating shopping destinations and restaurants include Arawak Expeditions, Bamboula, Bajo El Sol Gallery & Art Bar, St. John Brewer’s Brewtique, Caravan Gallery, Golden Hour, Imperial Dynasty, Island Fancy, Little Switzerland, Lulee, Made on St. John, Just Beach, Portico, Sugar Birds, The St. John Experience Gallery, Virgin Abis, 1864 The Restaurant, Greengo’s Caribbean Cantina, Sun Dog Café, The Tap Room and St. John Scoops, the press release stated.

Bajo el Sol Gallery will provide guests with complimentary Coquito and holiday treats. They will also host a book signing for award-winning Virgin Islands author Cadwell Turnbull. Signed copies of his new novel “We Are the Crisis” will be on sale, along with his other book “The Lesson and No Gods, No Monsters,” according to the release.

Caravan Gallery is offering complimentary champagne while shopping. Anyone who makes a purchase of $40 or more will receive a free amethyst crystal and a raffle entry to win a $50 gift certificate, it said.

Golden Hour will host a permanent jewelry pop-up with local jeweler Katherine Stuart. They will also be sampling some of their gourmet eats that are perfect for holiday gifts and entertaining. Patrons will receive a gift with purchases over $200, the release stated.

Customers will receive a free Mini Bag from Just Beach with the purchase of $100 of Aloha Collection bags, it said.

Lulee will have brand new holiday outfits and a deeply discounted holiday sale area that isn’t to be missed, according to the release.

Mongoose Junction is St. John’s premier shopping and dining destination, with a collection of unique shops and restaurants in a beautifully designed and distinctively tropical setting. It’s just a five-minute walk from the ferry dock, it said.
