A section of John Head Road on St. John will be closed to the public for approximately four days beginning July 23. The section of road immediately adjacent to the residence known as Jungle Stone was disturbed during construction and will be replaced with concrete paving. The partial road closure will prohibit all vehicular access from the Jungle Stone residence down to North Shore Road.

This project will involve the use of heavy equipment and will require concrete curing thus necessitating the closure of the area to vehicular and foot traffic. The closed section will be from the Jungle Stone residence down to the first concrete switch-back above North Shore Road. However, John Head Road will remain open from Centerline Road to just above the residence. Thus, public access to and from the Catherineburg Sugar Mill ruins and to several homes in the area will remain open from Centerline Road during the road construction and concrete curing.
