No Fee at Trunk Bay on Veterans Day

V.I. National Park Superintendent Mark Hardgrove announced that in recognition of Veterans Day, Thursday November 11, has been declared a Fee Free Day.  All visitors to Trunk Bay Beach on St. John will be admitted free.
“This day recognizes the sacrifice and service all who served in the military have made for our country, and for that we are grateful,” said Hardgrove.
Trunk Bay Beach is one of the most visited beaches on St. John, and is home to an underwater trail where swimmers are able to snorkel over the reef and read the plaques which identify coral and fish below.
Hardgrove encouraged visitors to Trunk Bay Beach during this Veteran Day weekend to ride safari taxis or carpool in order to avoid over crowding in the Trunk Bay parking lot.
