Officials Welcome Sky High Dominicana’s Inaugural Flight to St. Thomas

The U.S. Virgin Islands welcomed the newest airline to provide airlift to the territory on Monday, March 27.  Acting Senate President Marvin Blyden, Virgin Islands Port Authority’s Deputy Executive Director Anise Hodge, Territorial Airport Manager Jerome Sheridan and Property Manager Deborah Washington joined the USVI Department of Tourism and other well-wishers at the Cyril E. King Airport to greet Sky High Dominicana’s inaugural flight to St. Thomas.

The flight arrived at the Cyril E. King Airport St. Thomas (STT) with 13 passengers at 10 a.m. and departed at 11 a.m. with 31 persons to Santo Domingo (SDQ) onboard an Embrarer 190.

VIPA’s airport rescue firefighters performed a water salute to greet the arriving aircraft.  SkyHigh will provide twice-weekly service between the Dominican Republic and St. Thomas on Mondays and Fridays.
