Permit Submitted to DPNR for Condominium Project at Pastory Gardens

A permit has been submitted to the Department of Planning and Natural Resources for the construction of condominiums at the Pastory Gardens parking lot.

A permit has been submitted for the construction of condominiums at the site of the Pastory Gardens parking lot.

Further information from the Department of Planning and Natural Resources (DPNR) was not forthcoming last week.

“There is an application,” said DPNR spokesperson Jamal Nielsen. “A permit has been submitted and is under review.”

Because the permit is still under review, the architectural plans and details are not available to the public, Nielsen added.

“There is a discrepancy with the ownership,” he said. “There are two separate owners listed, and they have to get that straightened out. We’re waiting for legal proof of ownership.”

The plans have not yet been approved, according to Nielsen. DPNR would take into account the impact on parking for neighboring Pastory Gardens should the condos be built, he added.

“Maybe in the plans they have provisions for parking for the restaurant,” he said. “We can’t say anything until the plans are approved and are finished being reviewed.”
