Dayna Clendinen, director for the Division of Personnel and the GESC Health Insurance Board of Trustees, advises all participants in the Government’s Group Insurance Program of the Open Enrollment period, which will begin on Monday, Aug. 12 and concludes on Friday, Sept. 13.

Open Enrollment is an opportunity for covered employees and retirees to make benefit changes, add or remove dependents, or increase their supplement life coverage. Employees will only be able to make changes after open enrollment if they have a qualifying life event, such as marriage, divorce, birth of a child or change in employment status.

The Division of Personnel will be having Benefit Forums for its Employees and Retirees on the schedule listed below.
It will be introducing the following benefits:
Accident Injury
Critical Illness
Hospital Care
Short Term Disability
Long Term Disability
These new benefits are available to Active Employees on the Government’s Insurance Plan.

Presentations will take place explaining the benefit plans that are available to employees and retirees of the Government Insurance Plan and will have invited the following vendors to assist in presenting their benefits and answer questions:
Cigna; United Healthcare (UHC); Bentek; Gehring Group; The Standard; GESC Board

Active employees who would like to make changes can do so by accessing the new online enrollment system, Bentek, at www.mybentek.com/gvi.
