One of the most anticipated events of the summer gathered hundreds of attendees at the St. Croix Agricultural Fairgrounds on Sunday to celebrate Caribbean culture, cuisine and community during the fourth annual Virgin Islands Paté Festival.

The annual festival transformed the fairgrounds into a vibrant showcase of Crucian heritage, featuring local food vendors, live entertainment, moko jumbies, children’s activities, and, of course, an abundance of patés that kept attendees coming back for “one more.” This year’s event happened to fall on Father’s Day, adding another reason for families to celebrate together.

A major highlight leading up to this year’s festival was the release of the official Virgin Islands Paté Festival anthem, “One More,” written by Rhyno Brand and performed by fan-favorite mascot Paté Pete, “Your Favorite Mascot’s Favorite Mascot.” The upbeat track celebrates the spirit of the festival and its growing popularity throughout the territory.

Festivalgoers enjoyed performances and appearances by Boot Legacy, Deh Brand, EMCEE Bogle, Pollo Bass Covers Live, Ten Sleepless Knights, BugZBugs “BZB,” Deh K, and the Guardians of Culture Moko Jumbies.
Presented by SMT Enterprise and Drink Island Squeeze, the annual festival continues its mission of preserving Caribbean traditions while bringing together families, entrepreneurs, entertainers and food lovers for a one-of-a-kind cultural experience rooted in community.
