Just passing through

The Royal Caribbean cruise ship Symphony of the Seas sails past Water Island and Crown Bay, St. Thomas, on Monday afternoon in what many might have thought was a mirage since cruise ship calls stopped with the start of the coronavirus outbreak in March. The 6,730-passenger vessel was en route from Barbados to Coco Cay – Royal Caribbean International’s private island in The Bahamas – according to cruisemapper.com, which tracks ship traffic worldwide. Barbados announced in March that it would welcome ships in need of a port during the pandemic, allowing provisioning but restricting crew members from disembarking. (Source photo by Sian Cobb)
