Two men assaulted a couple in Cruz Bay Sunday night and sent the male victim to the Myrah Keating-Smith Clinic for treatment of an injury, the V.I. Police Department reported.
According to police, at about 9:13 p.m. Oct. 18, officers were dispatched to the clinic in reference to an assault.
The male victim reported that while in Cruz Bay waiting for the Red Hook ferry, he and his female companion were approached by two unknown suspects who attempted to take the woman’s bag. The suspects physically assaulted the male victim, who was transported to the clinic for treatment of his injuries in the incident.
Neither victim was identified by police, in accordance with department policy.
