Randolph Petersen Sr. Dies at 64

Randolph Petersen Sr.

Randolph Petersen Sr., also known as “Kelly,” of Estate Castle Burke died on Aug. 31. He was 64 years old.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Imogene Y. Williams; father, James Petersen; son, Randolph Petersen Jr.; and brothers: Larry Taylor and Wayne Yasper.

He is survived by his daughter, Renee Petersen; sons: Rodney Petersen, Davon Petersen and Dwayne Petersen; grandchildren: Ahmad Petersen, Jaiden Petersen, Jorden Petersen and Dior K. Petersen; stepfather, Thomas Williams; sisters: Janice D. John and Brenda V. John; brothers: Keith Roy John, Heskitt John, Darryl John and Dawen John; nieces: Danya Yasper, Iyana Yasper, Tahyisha Taylor and Kenycia M. Duncan; nephews: Wayne Yasper Jr., Darius George Jr. Nakeda John, K’Andre Dorival and Onájea Deterville; four great-nieces and one great-nephew; and aunt, Lumis Yasper.

He is also survived by daughters-in-law: Diona M. King and Jeanette Edwards; sister-in-law, Coletta Michael-John; caregivers: Anna Brewster and Angela Burke; special friend and caretaker, Inez P. Bannis; and special friends: Leroy Brooks, Wendell McIntosh, Savida Milligan Sr., Elbert and Eulalie Cornelius, Francie Ralph, Cynthia Charles, Cheryl Charles, Department of Human Services (St. Croix), Carlyle Ham, Brenda James, Rorewna Stridiron, Theresa Cuffy, Angelina Yarwood, Renaldo Santos, Rhonda Yarwood and Avelia Millin.

Other survivors include cousins and other relatives: Eugenie Lang and family, Sharon Greenidge, Doreen Pemberton, Patricia Greenidge, Agnes Greenidge, Winifred Encarnacion, Mercedes Petersen, Josephine Springer, Alfred “Olo” Petersen, David “Bucket” Brathwaite, Michael “Bobo” Petersen, Karen Petersen and Nathanie “Junie” Greenidge; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. The funeral service and burial will be held at 9 a.m., Thursday, Sept. 10, at Kingshill Cemetery. The family respectfully requests that attendees wear a face mask and adhere to the social distancing requirements.
