Rehenia Brathwaite Industrious Dies

Rehenia Brathwaite Industrious has died.

The first viewing will be held from 5-7 p.m., Friday, Dec. 6, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home and Crematory Services.

The second viewing will be held from 9-10 a.m., followed by a service at 10 a.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, at Apostolic Faith Church in Smith Bay. Interment will be at Eastern Cemetery in Smith Bay.

She is survived by husband, Bishop William A. Industrious; sons: Julian M. Industrious Sr., Gene A. Industrious Sr. and Russell A. Industrious Sr.; daughters: Bridget (Joy) Industrious-Dorsey, Melva Industrious-Pickering, Sonia (Faye) Industrious, and Rehenia (Girlie) Industrious-Davis; siblings: Leander George, Emelda Brathwaite and Alvara Shaw; daughter-in-law, Felice Stevens-Industrious; sons-in-law: Andre T. Dorsey and Claxton E. Davis Jr.; 28 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

She is also survived by 16 nephews; 15 nieces; sisters-in-law: Thelma Todman and Dorothy Harrigan; brothers-in-law: Jonathan (Donald) Industrious and Dennis McTavious Sr.; special friends: Esmie Stevens, Jenny and Horace Rogers, Iris Hobson, Pearla Industrious, Dr. Thelma Watson and Elsie Monsanto; adopted son, Hermon Corbett; the Romney, Abendigo, Brathwaite and Hedrington families; as well as other relatives and friends too numerous to mention.
