Public Health Nurse Jane Washburn administers a flu shot to one of the more than 100 St. John residents who came to The Marketplace on Friday, November 3, to get their free flu shots from the Virgin Islands Department of Health.
People who get the flu shot are less likely to get the flu, said VIDOH Immunization Program Registered Nurse Judith Plair.
“Most people have been saying, ‘We’re so glad you are performing this service,’” said Plair.
