Romel V. Wallace Jr. died on Jan. 22 at the age of 55 in Tampa, Fla. He was born on the beautiful island of St. Thomas, Virgin Islands,

Romel is survived by his parents: Romel V. Wallace Sr. and Muriel O. Wallace; his daughters: Dejah and Anyah Wallace; sisters: Elizabeth M. Creque and Andrea T. Wallace; nieces: Adisha and Asonjah Penn; nephews: Khalid Gerard, Richard Cruse Jr. and Elijah Penn; aunts: Lorraine Farrell, Beverly Benjamin, Macy James, Beredith Enrique, Judith Farrell, Elodia Callwood-Turnbull and Tulani “Cutie” Abdul; and uncles: Rudy Farrell, Jude Farrell, George Harvey.

He is also survived by cousins: Wayne Farrell, Sh’reen Arri, Haneen Arri, Frank Cook, Rudy Cook, Richard Farrell, Lois Sealey, Ruby Hodge, Sosthenes Francis, Kenneth Moolenaar, Mildred Joseph, Corrine Francis, Nina Farrell, Jenelle Leonard, Wayne Leonard, Jade Enrique, Michelle Young, Marsha David, Thomas Benjamin, Micah Jefferson, Elizabeth David, Maria Kuntz, John David, Albert David Sr., Macunda Harper, Dorothy Webster, Karen Ray, Aline Francis, Gloria Frett, Deborah Ovesen, Jean Charles, Llewellyn Leacock, Richard Lettsome, Edmund Penn and Carlyle Penn; and many more family and friends.

Romel’s first viewing will be held from 4-6 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 14, at Turnbull’s Funeral Home.

Tributes and songs will begin at 9 a.m. followed by a funeral service at 10 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 15, at Cathedral Church of All Saints. Interment will be at Western Cemetery No. 2. Funeral arrangements are by Turnbull’s Funeral Home and Crematory Services.
