Shooter in Market Square Shooting Incident Identified and Arrested

A man who has been identified as one of the alleged shooters in the Market Square shooting on St. Thomas has been arrested, the V.I. Police Department reported Thursday.

On Tuesday, July 11, officers were dispatched to the area of Mushen’s Market in Market Square concerning shots fired. when they arrived contact was made with witnesses in the area who pexplained that they saw the suspects fleeing the area, the police report stated.

Contact was also made with the victim who was shot at, the release stated.

On Wednesday, 28-year-old Jeffery Figueroa Berroa was placed under arrest after he was identified as one of the shooters in the shooting incident. He was charged with attempted murder, assault in the first degree, assault in the third degree, and reckless endangerment. His bail was set at $100,000, police said.
