81C is actively developing partnerships with organizations and commercial brands to create opportunities for community artists and to celebrate art, culture, and discourse through events and programs, a press release announced.
Silver Airways has partnered with 81C Arts to strengthen community connections through various creative platforms such as gallery exhibitions, pop-ups, workshops, and accessible classes for all. By providing in-kind services, such as airfares, to assist in transportation resources for community art and education projects, the airline is contributing to increased access for creatives throughout the U.S. Virgin Islands, according to the press release.
In addition to providing critical transportation support for artists, Silver Airways is now offering convenient daily service between the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, helping communities cross-explore cultural gems like street art in Santurce, Jump Up events in Christiansted, and the burgeoning arts district of historic Charlotte Amalie, the press release stated.

In collaboration with Silver Airways on art resources, 81C Arts selected Good Luck, Have Fun, a main gallery exhibition opening Oct. 5 by St. Croix artist strawberriemilk (Emily Braswell), as an inaugural Silver Airways-supported project, the release stated.

Meanwhile, VI Crawl’s Cocktails & Conversations event series is a low-pressure social gathering where adults can discuss prevalent narratives and cultural trends in the V.I. while exploring solutions for a better territory. The series is now conveniently hosted at 81C, according to the press release.
The series includes custom cocktails, live performances, and interactive activities to entertain and inspire the audience. VI Crawl is an organization that fosters Virgin Islands’ food, heritage & experiences, and VI Storytelling.
