Friends and extended family are advised of the death of Sonia Bernadette Smith-Gray on Saturday, Oct. 28.
Sonia is survived by her son, Mount Vernon Josh Powel; daughter-in-law, Danielle Powell; granddaughter, Lorynn Powell; brothers: Vincent Smith and Melvin Dore (UK); sister-in-law, Gloria Smith; sisters: Viola Dore and Joslyn Smith; and nieces: Tricia Dore, Rovena Gibson, Jenniva Henry, Shaniel Tirado, Roxanne Monsanto, Roslyn Williams and Venecia Campbell.
She is also survived by nephews: Benson Henry, Nathaniel Graham and Jehu Smith; and cousins: Beulah Dore-Jeffers, Charles D. Dore Jr., Lucille Dore, Bernice Dore-Kight and Joyce Dore-Griffin.
Please join the family as they remember her life and mourn her passing on Wednesday, Nov. 15. The Celebration of Life Service will take place at Faith Wesleyan Holiness Church at 253 A&C Anna’s Retreat, St. Thomas. Viewing and tributes will begin at 10 a.m. followed by the remembrance service at 11 a.m. Interment will be at Eastern Cemetery.
