As part of the Elections System of the Virgin Islands (ESVI) 60th Anniversary celebration, ESVI introduces “Civics Matters.” Civics Matters is an exciting and engaging quiz show, produced by the Elections System of the Virgin Islands, exclusively for Virgin Islands’ high school students.

The show aims to test their knowledge of various social, political and historical topics.

At 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 28, at the University of the Virgin Islands Albert A. Sheen Campus Great Hall, the Election System of the Virgin Islands hosted the 2023 quiz show between the finalists from Charlotte Amalie High School and the St. Croix Educational Complex High School.

The Civics Matter Bowl can be viewed via the Elections System of the Virgin Islands YouTube (Election System) and Facebook page (Elections System of the Virgin Islands).

Board of Elections Education Chairwoman Lisa Harris-Moorhead thanks all the coaches, students, RapierMed LLC, Elections System of the Virgin Islands board members and staff, Donald “Duck” Cole, production team and media partners for their support during the Elections System of the Virgin Islands Inaugural Civic Matters Bowl.

The bowl turned out 300% better than anyone expected. Everyone’s contribution was greatly appreciated. ESVI continues to receive nothing but positive praise.
