St. Croix Mini-mart Cashier Robbed at Gunpoint

A cashier at a St. Croix mini-mart was robbed at gunpoint Sunday, the V.I. Police Department reported.

On Sunday, around 3:32 p.m., 911 reported a robbery at KC Mini Mart in Christiansted town in the vicinity of King’s Alley Hotel, according to the police report.

When detectives arrived on scene, they spoke with the cashier at KC Mini Mart, who stated an unknown individual approached the counter and pointed a silver handgun with a black handle at her. The cashier stated that the suspect demanded everything in the register in a high-pitched voice. The cashier did as she was told and gave all the cash in a black plastic bag the suspect brought. The cashier was not assaulted during this incident, the police report stated.

Based on camera footage, the suspect was wearing a long-sleeved light-colored shirt, blue jeans, black slippers, a black scully (hat), and a navy blue mask with the words “Seaside Market” on the front. The suspect ran in a western direction, the report stated.
