St. John Police Investigating Death of Woman, 41, After Fight with Husband in Rental Villa

 

 

Police are investigating the death of a female that occurred at a private villa on St. John. The incident was reported to the 911 Emergency Dispatch at about 11:50 a.m. March 2.

According to the preliminary information, police interviewed a male who said he and his wife were on vacation from Virginia and had an argument at the villa. The male said after the argument he slept outside the rental property in his vehicle. The next morning he tried to enter to the villa but could not gain access. He called for assistance to get inside and once inside discovered the unresponsive body of his 41-year-old wife.

St. John Deputy Police Chief Maria Jones said this case is presently under police investigation and detectives are examining all aspects of this case. She said “This is preliminary information and further investigation as well as an autopsy needs to be done,” Deputy Chief Jones said.

Deputy Chief Jones urged anyone who had contact with the couple during their stay on St. John should call the detectives and tell them what they know. “Any information, even if you think it may not be significant or relevant to the case may help detectives get a clearer picture of the events leading up to this death,” the Deputy Chief said.
