The St. John Recovery Choir will host a free concert of holiday music in Frank Powell Park in Cruz Bay on Saturday evening, December 22.
The entertainment begins at 6:30 p.m. with performances by local church choirs, followed by the St. John Recovery Choir under the direction of Kristen Carmichael-Bowers. Members of the All-Island Children’s Choir will join in for a rousing South African hymn to freedom, accompanied by Miss Ingrid on guitar.
At 7:45, the audience is invited to participate in a community carol sing, and at 8 p.m. The Love City Pandragons, St. John’s own youth steel band, will perform their energetic renditions of well-known tunes. As a closing number, all of the groups and the audience will join together to sing “Joy to the World.”
The St. John Recovery Choir would like to invite anyone in the community who likes to sing to join the choir, all levels of experience are welcome. Rehearsals for the spring concert begin Tuesday, January 9 at 5:30 p.m at the music room at the Gifft Hill School’s Upper Campus.
