St. Thomas Man Shot While Driving

A St. Thomas man was shot while driving from work, the V.I. Police Department reported Thursday.

On Wednesday, at approximately 11:00 p.m., police responded to an assault-first incident in the area of Frenchman’s Reef Road. The victim was shot while driving in his vehicle from work. He drove himself to Schneider Regional Medical Center for treatment, according to the police report.

The victim gave a brief statement which, at this time, suggests he was ambushed by unknown assailants who attempted to claim his life, the police report stated.

This case is presently under investigation by the Criminal Investigation Bureau.
