St. Thomas Power Out Since 9:35

Efforts are continuing to restart generating units at the Randolph Harley Power Plant. Rebuilding generation capacity is necessary before service to customers can be restored. Once capacity has been rebuilt, service restoration will occur quickly. At this time, however, an estimate for the power plant to be restored is not available. The service interruption began at 9:35 a.m.

In addition, Water Distribution Crews will be making repairs to address a major leak on the 24-inch water main that runs along the St. Thomas waterfront. The leaking line will be isolated to facilitate repairs and rerouting of service will take place to minimize the impact on customers. Some customers in the town area as well as those in higher elevations may experience low water pressure or no water service until repairs are completed
